We are saddened to announcement the passing of a gentle and sweet spirit where “She Cared, She loved, She Prayed and loved to Laugh.” Mother Hattie Johnson, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday January 30, 2020 at the tender and precious age of 102. She was a native of Jefferson Davis County and a resident of Prentiss, Mississippi. She was born October 20, 1917 to the late Garfield and Rachael Jackson-Ross. Visitation for Mrs. Johnson will be held from 1pm-2pm on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Blackmon C.M.E. Temple, 423 S Carson Rd, Carson, MS 39427. Funeral Service will following immediately, 2pm at Blackmon C.M.E. Temple with interment in Green Grove Church Cemetery Prentiss, MS. Pastor Maxine Price officiate the services. Craft-Ginn Funeral Chapel - Tylertown, is in charge of final arrangements, 219 Hwy 98 West, (601) 876-5175.
