Mrs. Brenda Faye Robinson

From an early age, Brenda Faye Robinson displayed a remarkable spirit of compassion and resilience. She dedicated her life to serving others, both through her career with the Mississippi Department of Health and her faithful involvement with Darbun Community Worship Center. Known for her warm smile and generous heart, Brenda touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Brenda was born on December 1, 1956, to the union of Elijah Rushing and Georgia Luter Rushing in Tylertown, Mississippi. She attended Salem High School, graduating in 1976. That same year, she married the love of her life, W.J. Robinson. Together they built a life rooted in love and faith, and to their union were born three beautiful children: Latanga, Tony, and Angelia Robinson. Brenda accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and faithfully served Him throughout her life. As a devoted member of the Darbun Community Worship Center, she played a vital role in the Hospitality Department for many years. Her unwavering faith was a guiding light to her family and community, and her loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Brenda was gainfully employed until her retirement from the Mississippi Department of Health, where she served as a dedicated WIC Clerk. Throughout her professional journey, she also worked at Walthall County General Hospital, Bildora Nursing Home, and Walthall Extended Care. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Brenda delighted in actively participating in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives—regularly attending school functions and activities, always their biggest cheerleader. On April 10, 2025, Brenda transitioned from this life to her eternal home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Georgia Rushing; her brothers, Timothy (Eartha) Rushing and Rufus Rushing; her sisters, Clara (Sherman) Atkins, Bertha Lee (Roy) Lenoir, and Georgia Expose; and two brothers-in-law, Paul Williams and Rudolph Garrison. Brenda leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 48 years, W.J. Robinson; her three children, Latanga (Damon) Sportsman, Tony (Danielle) Robinson, and Angelia (Andre) Magee; one brother, Hampton (Patsy) Rushing; six sisters, Ruby (Butch) Daniels, Modell (James) Haynes, Avis (Earl) Tolar, Grace (Bobby) Lenoir, Modine Williams, and Alice Garrison; one brother-in-law, Jean Expose; seven beloved grandchildren, Romalice Burris Jr., Dondria Burris, Destin Burris, Amari Bush, Madison Robinson, Draiden Magee, and Aaliyah Robinson; and a host of other cherished relatives and friends. Brenda will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her deep dedication to her faith, and her endless kindness to others. Her legacy of love, faith, and service will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. A public visitation for Mrs. Robinson will be Saturday, April 19th, 2025, at Darbun Community Worship Center from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with Funeral Services to follow at 1:00 pm.
